January 25 – 29, 2021
The Great Kindness Challenge is one week dedicated to creating a culture of kindness and compassion on campuses worldwide.
Centennial Elementary is proudly participating in this proactive and positive kindness initiative. This year’s theme is: KINDNESS UNITES.
All students will receive The Great Kindness Challenge checklist to work on during the week at school. Encourage your child to do as many kind acts as possible! Our goal as a school is to perform 3,500 acts of kindness during the week (which is about 10 kind acts for each student). We will be tracking our daily progress on a thermometer in the gym. Check out the website at www.thegreatkindnesschallenge.com or download the app and your whole family can participate in the challenge too!
We have fun activities planned during the week. Check the back of this flyer for the themes for each day. We have a virtual assembly scheduled at 9:30 am on Monday morning to kick-off the week and a special surprise from Mrs. Kolb if students meet our schoolwide goal of 3,500 acts of kindness to finish off the week. There are spirit dress-up days scheduled throughout the week to get our school into the kindness groove!
Kindness is a simple, but incredibly powerful thing. Together, let’s show the world that...
KINDNESS MATTERS!
