I'm pretty sure there are a lot of Centennial students that can relate to Buster's problem this month - poor sportsmanship during recess. Students - please write to Buster with ideas for what he could do about playing football with his friend Sammi. Mail your advice letters in the school office by May 10th. He's looking forward to your suggestions!!!
Parents: This is great opportunity to talk to your child about the importance of sportsmanship and what being a good friend looks like. Some good questions to talk about:
What were some of the ways you noticed Sammi wasn't being a good sport (or a good friend) to Buster and Critter? Why do you think Sammi was doing those things?
How do you think Buster and Critter felt about how Sammi treated them during recess?
Do you think Buster and Critter were having fun playing football with Sammi?
What can Buster and Critter do about the way Sammi is treating them?
What do you think about Sammi's behavior? What does Sammi need to do in order to be a good sport (and a good friend)?
